This rapidly expanding and hugely exciting, touring exhibition is open to all UK based printmakers who work to any recognised printmaking technique. In the last two years this exhibition has showcased over 1500 pieces by more than 400 artists; first-timers, students, hobbyists, professionals and a couple of famous names too. 500 of the submitted pieces will be selected by an independent panel of 4 professionals from the world of print.

The 3rd Jogja International Miniprint Biennale(JIMB) 2018 jury has chosen “Message from the Matrix” as the theme of the Biennale. The theme reflects the jury’s perspective and indicates the importance of the question of character and quality in the practice of reproduction in the graphic arts, where each edition of a work is of the same quality as the original, because each edition of a print is itself an original, not a duplicate. In the vocabulary of graphic arts, matrix is another name for a physical surface where a picture which is drawn, like a woodblock, plate, stone, or screen can be reproduced in multiple quantities. It is from this point of view of that JIMB 2018 invites participants to respond to the issue of matrix, both ‘matrix’ as a term characteristic of graphic arts as well as to the philosophy of matrix itself.

JUROR
Lothar Osterburg, has been an active artist and master printer for the past 30 years. He received a Guggenheim Creative Arts Fellowship (2010) and teaches at Bard College. Osterburg work is included in many public collections including Art Institute of Chicago, Fine Art Museum Houston and Library of Congress.

LIABILITY
Every precaution will be taken to handle all prints accepted to The Print Effect 2018. MGC will hang prints with a magnet system and no frames – please consider mounting delicate prints to a sturdy paper.

AGREEMENT
By filing out the entry form, the artist agrees to the conditions set forth in the prospectus, including; permission to use images of exhibited work online for promotional and educational purposes.

ACCEPTANCE

This exhibition is Louisiana Tech University School of Design’s first juried show to focus on Poster Art in the 21st century. Artists whose work explores the dynamic and expressive potential of the poster in contemporary art, illustration and graphic design are invited to submit work to juror Celene Aubry, Associate Director and Manager, Hatch Show Print in Nashville, Tennessee. All processes for poster design and output are eligible for submission. Subject matter is open. Special interest will be given to work that speaks to the important role that means of production plays in excellence of design. Entries must be original artwork in both concept and execution, and no portion may be of another artist’s published or copyrighted work.

Juror Biography: Celene Aubry is the Associate Director and Manager at Hatch Show Print, the legendary letterpress print shop continuously operating since 1879 in Nashville, Tennessee. Hatch got its start printing handbills and posters for a variety of entertainers throughout the South. Today, Hatch continues to function as a press—printing custom posters for musicians and events all over the world—while also showcasing print-centric art in their gallery and offering hands-on tours and workshops from their education space.

SPF South Florida is pleased to announce an open call for submissions. Pushing the Pull is an exhibition which invites artists to submit works which push the boundaries of printmaking. While print has always been rooted in a long history of innovators, contemporary processes turn the tradition on its head, introducing new digital approaches and renewing age-old techniques by printing on and with alternative materials and tools. Whether you roll it, carve it, scratch it, mask it, screen it, transfer it, multiply it or discover it; Pushing the Pull lays claim to the rich vitality of current printmakers. This exhibition will be open November 10 - December 22, 2018 in The Projects space located in FATVillage, Fort Lauderdale.

The exhibition will open in two phases. The first opening will accompany the third edition of Small Press Fair, SPF’18, on November 10, 2018 and will feature 2-D experimental prints. The second opening will be held during the FATVillage Artwalk on November 24, 2018. This opening will expand the exhibition to include large-scale sculptural and installation based work to fill the entirety of the 10,000 sq ft Projects Space warehouse.

ounded in 1996, the Delta National Small Prints Exhibition is currently accepting entries for the 2019 exhibition. Artists from around the world have the opportunity to enter this competition, which is chosen by a nationally known expert in the field of printmaking.

This year the juror is José Diaz, Chief Curator of The Andy Warhol Museum.


Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 and older. Submissions must be original works on paper, created within the last two years, including but not limited to, digital, intaglio, lithographic, photographic, relief, serigraphic and stencil processes. Monotypes are also eligible but reproductions of pre-existing works are not.

Entry Fee: A $35 (nonrefundable) entry fee permits each artist to submit up to three prints.

Awards: Purchase Awards and Juror’s Merit Awards will be offered and announced at the opening of the exhibition. Each artist receiving an award will have their artist’s statement of 100 words or less printed in the exhibition catalog. Typically half of the show is purchased for the A-State Permanent Collection of Art and by the viewing audience.

We are primarily seeing works utilizing traditional printmaking processes such as monoprint/monotype, intaglio (collograph, etching, drypoint), lithography, silkscreen, relief, letterpress. Other works will be considered on a case by case basis.

Using the form below, you may submit up to 1-3 works for consideration; to show detail, you will be allowed 6 total images for a total of 2MB. A $13 submission fee will be used to defray the cost of review and exhibition.

The Port Authority of Santander and SM Pro Art Circle invite to all artists of the world to participate in the I Mini Print Biennial The Sea and the Lighthouses.

- The Biennial is open to all disciplines of prints. It admits also digital artwork printed and monotype.
