Each bi-monthly issue of Art in Print features a full-page reproduction and brief essay about the work of one artist, chosen by an outside juror. Jurors include artists, curators, printers, publishers and dealers from around the world.

Who can enter?
We can accept one submission per subscription per issue. The subscriber can be an artist, publisher, printshop, gallery or other organization.

How do I submit?

When to enter:
The deadline is the middle of every odd-numbered month: 15 January, 15 March, 15 May, 15 July, 15 September, 15 November.

Do I have to be a subscriber to submit?
Yes. Art in Print is a not-for-profit organization and we depend on member support for all our programs. Subscriptions start at $38.

Juror: Dennis Michael Jon, Associate Curator of Prints and Drawings at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.

Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 and older. Submissions must be original works on paper, created within the last two years, including but not limited to, digital, intaglio, lithographic, photographic, relief, serigraphic and stencil processes. Monotypes are also eligible but reproductions of pre-existing works are not.

Display: Each selected print will be framed by the Bradbury Art Museum during the exhibition. In order to ensure your print will fit into the frame, each print must arrive matted in or mounted on a horizontal or vertical, 16 x 20, 20 x 24, 24 x 24, or 24 x 32 inch white or off-white mat.

Works Accepted: Results of the selection process will be emailed to all entrants the second week of November, 2015. Each print selected for exhibition must be received by the Bradbury Art Museum no later than December 4, 2015.

Images and Catalog: Each artist may submit up to three prints, represented in a digital format (jpeg preferred) with a resolution of a minimum of 300 dpi at 4 x 5 inches or 1200 x 1500 pixels. The digital files must be print quality as all works selected for exhibition will be reproduced in a full-color catalog. By entering this exhibition each artist grants consent for the use of submitted images for reproduction in the catalog, for publicity and for educational purposes.

Purchase Awards: Will be made at the discretion of the juror. Each artist receiving an award will have their artist’s statement of 100 words or less printed in the exhibition catalog. Typically more than half of the show is purchased for the ASU Permanent Collection of Art and by the viewing audience.

Entry Fee: A $30 (nonrefundable) entry fee permits each artist to submit up to three prints.

Sales: The sale of prints in the exhibition will be promoted. A commission of 25% will be retained from the sale price. No commission will be retained for purchase awards.

Organized by the Department of Art and Art History at the University of Utah, this competitive juried regional exhibition will showcase contemporary works on paper by artists throughout the Intermountain West. The exhibition will take place in the Gittins Gallery on the campus of the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Eligibility & Media
All artists (18 years and older) residing in AZ, CA, CO, ID, MT, NM, NV, OR, WA, WY and UT are eligible to enter. Original works in Book Arts, Digital Prints, Drawing, Photography, Printmaking (including Monoprints) and 3D Paper Works are eligible. Works must be completed in the last two years (Students and employees of the University of Utah are ineligible to apply).

The Atlanta Print Biennial is an international juried exhibition of hand pulled prints and works on paper produced by renowned artists from around the world. The exhibit is organized by Atlanta Printmakers Studio and hosted by Kai Lin Art, a contemporary art gallery located in the vibrant Westside District of Midtown Atlanta, GA. Juried by Art Werger, internationally known master of aquatint, color intaglio and mezzotint. Werger has been exhibiting for over thirty years and has received over two hundred awards. He is known for his aerial imagery of cities and suburban scenes as well as for his prolific narrative mezzotints. Werger is Professor of Art in the Printmaking program at Ohio University, where he has served as the Foundations Chair and Chair of Printmaking.

The exhibit is open to all artists working in hand-pulled printmaking processes. Purchase awards and prizes will be given; details to come.

The Manhattan Graphics Center (MGC) in New York announces its first juried competition and exhibition devoted to small prints (no larger than 9 square inches or 58 square centimeters). The exhibition will take place from 1 November–18 December 2015 at their printmaking studio in New York with an opening reception during Print Week in New York.
