Visiting Assistant Professor of Studio Art/Printmaking

The Department of Art and Art History invites applicants for a Visiting Assistant Professor in Studio Art/Printmaking to begin August 15, 2019. This is a one-year nonrenewable appointment. Applicants teach introductory and advanced undergraduate courses in printmaking as well as teach the professional development component of our senior seminar course. The ideal candidate embraces the role of printmaking and digital technologies within a contemporary art practice and possesses the skills to provide the framework for the professional development component of our senior seminar course. This includes providing senior art majors with the skills necessary to develop a clear and coherent artist statement, pursue grants and/or residencies and develop their website. Courses related to the artist's area of competency and research welcome. Additional responsibilities include independent study advising, student mentoring, departmental and college service.

MFA in printmaking or related fields with teaching experience and evidence of continuing artistic accomplishment is required.
