Printmaking Technician (Temporary)

The Visual Arts Program is looking to for a Printmaking Technician who will assist printmaking classes and oversee the Print shop. This position works closely with the Printmaking faculty and assists with the printmaking classes and other faculty/ guest artist who use the print shop.

Responsibilities
- Maintain safety and organization in the print shop
- Organize and maintain inventory of supplies
- Assist with prep for class demos
- Assist faculty during class times
- Assist students outside of class to make sure proper printmaking procedures are followed
- Assist other faculty/ guest artists when using the Print shop

Qualifications
- Art or Art History background, degree preferred
- Experience in printmaking, with knowledge of safety issues related to printmaking
- Ability to work well independently, as well as collaboratively
- Strong interpersonal communications skills, able to navigate varying communication styles between staff, students and faculty
- Experience with spreadsheets and Microsoft Excel
- Must be able to work during scheduled class hours
