Printmaking Residency & International Exhibition with Dan Welden

A group of self-directed international artists will have an 8-day stay in Havana, including a 5-day work session alongside Master Printmaker Dan Welden.

Participants also will have the opportunity to exhibit up to 3 selected works (on paper) in Taller Aguilera’s galleries (where the residency will take place). Participants are encouraged to bring their work in their own portfolio, that also can be used to bring their Santiago work back home.

Dan Welden will supervise the residency and participants will create alongside a selected number of Cuban printmakers. With the energies of the Cuban and US artists, there are sure to be many innovative and exciting works evolving from this studio residency.

In addition to the residency, participants will have an opportunity to join a weeklong Cuba tour with visits to UNESCO World Heritage cities, including Havana, Trinidad, Cienfuegos, Santa Clara, Camaguey and Santiago, highlighted by visits to artist studios and spaces.

** Cost does not include air travel, accommodations, or meals in Cuba.
