Paris/Rome Fellowship, Pre-/Postdoc, DFK Paris/Bibliotheca Hertziana Rome

The German Center for the History of Art (DFK Paris) - Institute of the Max Weber Foundation and the Bibliotheca Hertziana - Max Planck Institute for Art History jointly propose a research fellowship of six months. This bag allows you to search in the archives and funds of the libraries of Paris and Rome, with a stay of three months, respectively, establishing a relationship of exchange with researchers of the institutes and allows you to address transnational perspectives of art history France and Italy.

The Paris x Roma Fellowship focuses on the research areas of the two institutions with the participation in the program and scientific activities: the Bibliotheca Hertziana Fellowship connects to the "Contemporary Rome" and the research group that investigates modern art and contemporary in Rome, while the DFK Paris is related epistemological examination of the artistic relations during the Cold War.

PhD students and postdoctoral fellows in the history of art and other related disciplines are invited to submit their application for the Paris/Rome Fellowship. The scholarship includes the reimbursement of travel expenses, coverage of living costs in the amount of 1.700 € / month, and the use of the integration initiatives in scientific research resources of institutions. Applications must be accompanied by a CV and a description of their research project and can be written in German, French, Italian or English. The position requires language skills in French and Italian. There is an obligation of residence.
