Librarian, Specializing in old prints

At the Werner Oechslin Library Foundation in Einsiedeln the following post is vacant as of August 1 in 2018 or by appointment:

Librarian / in (80%) specializing in rare books

Will be part of a small team you are mainly responsible for the initial cataloging of old prints and completing cataloging of older recordings. The entries are recorded in a specific format. The candidate will also help in further accumulating library work.

The applicant should:
- be provided trained and certified as a librarian, library sciences
- possess a degree (Bachelor or Master) with experience in cataloging and dealing with old prints and a degree in art history or other humanities disciplines
- basic knowledge of English, French, Italian, Latin and the ability of the translate Greek texts
- know RDA cataloging rules and are trained in their use
- Experience with the library system Aleph-500 or similar software are desired

The Werner Oechslin Library Foundation is a research library in cooperation with ETH Zurich. The collection has about 50,000 titles, with extensive holdings on architectural theory and architectural history, art history, philosophy, theology, mathematics, physics and cultural history.

The remuneration and benefits depend on the work and pay regulations of the ETH Zurich.
