Curator of Prints and Drawings 20th and 21st century, National Gallery Prague

The National Gallery Prague is seeking a communicative personality capable of team work, with his or her own creative input to the presentation of permanent collections and to the application of current international concepts to temporary exhibitions.

Position Responsibilities:
• Collection management
• Concept of Collection development
• Regular collection inventorying
• Scientific work with the collection fund
• Preparation and realization of exhibition projects, especially interdisciplinary
• Lectures, guided exhibition tours for visitors and professional public
• Collaboration in creating an on-line collection catalogue
• Publishing activities

Qualification Requirements:
• University degree in art history (Ph.D) or a corresponding specialized qualification
• Knowledge of Czech and international art, especially in the field of drawings and printmaking of the second half of the 20th century and present
• Minimum 3- year gallery or museum experience
• Previous museum or gallery experience of advantage
• Proficiency in English (C1 level) and another world language (min. level B2), knowledge of Czech language of advantage
• PC skills: MS Office and database programs
