CFP: Impact 11 International Printmaking Conference (Hong Kong, 22–26 September 2020)

IMPACT – International Multi-disciplinary Printmaking, Artists, Concepts and Techniques – is one of the largest professional conferences dedicated specifically to printmaking. In September 2020, IMPACT 11 will be presented by Hong Kong Open Printshop, with the support of the Hong Kong Heritage Museum, at major cultural venues around the city.

The IMPACT 11 team welcomes proposals for academic papers, illustrated talks, open portfolios and art supplies show participants. Please familiarize yourself with the information and guidelines below before starting the online submission process. The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2019.

1. Submissions can only be made via the online system. Emailed or posted proposals will not be accepted.

2. Once the submission process is started and your proposal is saved, you can return to it at any time. However, we strongly encourage you to make a copy of your submission/proposal in a separate document, in order to prevent losing your work.

3. No proposals will be accepted after the submission deadline: 30 September 2019. Cut off point, 23:59 Hong Kong time (GTM +8).

4. All proposals must be presented in English. Incomplete proposals, or proposals with excessive punctuation, spelling and grammatical errors will be rejected.

5. Successful applicants will be required to submit full papers and presentation slides before the start of the conference. Details of final submission deadlines will be shared at a later date.

Selection Process
To ensure the selection process is fair, proposals will undergo a blind review process conducted by our professional proposal review committee. Results will be announced by the end of 2019.

Academic Papers
Presentations for academic papers should be limited to 20 minutes and approximately 2000 words for print. For the proposal submission, please submit the following:
- A 300-word abstrac
- Up to 5 images to support your submission (if relevant)
- A 100-word biography
- A headshot of yourself
