Call to Artists: Stories in Print

From the printed word to narrative scenes using images and symbols and beyond to the mysterious realm of abstraction, printmaking has a story to tell.

We want to inspire artists to reflect on their stories either personal or popular from daily life, imagination or those drawn from a text, well-known folk tale or myths and come up with imagery that iconizes these stories.

Prints mixed with Writings • Illustrations • Narrative Etchings & Abstractions • Artist Books • Photography • Mixed Media

Printmaking methods include various forms of intaglio, aquatint, monoprint, lithography, silkscreen, stencils, photography, book arts, pen and ink, sculptural and experimental processes.

Curated by members of RAA Press, the exhibition Stories in Print will be presented at Studio 7 Gallery, Fort Tilden, Rockaway, New York from June 8–30, 2019.
