Call for Entries: Prix de Gravure – Mario Avati

This award was created in 2013 under the aegis of the Academy of Fine Arts in tribute to the engraver Mario Avati, thanks to donors Helen and Mario Avati and sponsorship from CAFAmerica. In accordance with the wishes of Helen and Mario Avati, this prize rewards a confirmed artist, of any nationality, for their printmaking, which uses the techniques of intaglio, woodcut, lithography, silkscreen and/or monotype.

The annual prize, worth $40,000 (USD), is awarded under the cupola of the Institut de France during the Solemn Session of the Académie des Beaux-Arts.
