Like Pablo Picasso and Joan Miró, Antoni Clavé (1913-2005) found in printmaking an essential medium for his painting. His prints created from the end of the 1930s to the beginning of 2000 represent a coherent set of great technical and stylistic diversity. This exhibition is organized on the occasion of a donation to the Bibliothèque national de France by the artist's grandchildren. It is also concomitant with the publishing of the catalogue raisonné of his prints.
