Alberta Printmakers Main Gallery: Call for Submissions
Alberta Printmakers invites all artists incorporating print media techniques within their practice to apply
for our 2017-2018 Juried Gallery Program.
Description
Alberta Printmakers (A/P) programs 6 exhibitions per year in their Main Space Gallery, located in Calgary, Alberta. The gallery programming is determined by a selection committee and is based on the quality of submissions. A/P provides a number of benefits for accepted proposals including: a personalized exhibition essay and event invitation, CARFAC fees, and one-way shipping. All accepted artists are also invited to attend the opening and give a public lecture about their work as part of A/P’s Engraving Culture Speaker Series.
Gallery Mandate
Alberta Printmakers (A/P) Gallery is an artist-run gallery located within the Alberta Printmakers’ print centre. The A/P Gallery Program exhibits innovative, contemporary, print-based art produced by emerging, mid-career and established artists. Print techniques can include any (or combinations of relief, intaglio, monoprint, lithography, silkscreen, digital and may be combined with any other media, such as, but not limited to fabric or ceramics. A/P Gallery shows regional, national and international artists working in a range of concepts and techniques. Our goal is to provide opportunities for the artistic and public communities to experience the diversity of print media art as a contemporary and vital artistic medium.
Application requirements
Interested applicants must submit the following:
-Ten numbered & labeled JPEG digital images. Each image 1MB maximum.
-Corresponding digital image list indicating the size, title of work, media and date (PDF format).
-Artist’s Statement (PDF format).
-Curriculum Vitae up to 4 pages (PDF format).
-Written exhibition proposal (PDF format), please refer to gallery map.

PLEASE submit all of the above as email attachments, not in a .zip file.
***Note: Only Email submissions will be accepted. Incomplete submissions will not be reviewed. Submissions which do not follow the format described above will not be reviewed.*** Submissions must be received by the deadline of September 30, 2016. Proposals received after this date will be held and reviewed for the following program year.
