COVID PROTOCOLS
*Please note that we are monitoring the situation closely and expect to provide additional health and safety protocols, all of which are subject to change.*
Do I have to be vaccinated to participate in the workshop?
The health and safety of our workshop attendees is our top priority. In accordance with local state law requirements, all those attending the workshop must be fully vaccinated, and guests will be required to share photo identification and proof of vaccination (including booster doses) with workshop organizers prior to the start of the workshop no later than May 15, 2023 by sending a photo of your vaccination card and a copy of a photo ID to Project Administrator, Heather Linton, via email at heather@printscholars.org
Please notify Heather if you have any issue emailing the required documentation. Records will be stored securely until the conclusion of the workshop, when documents will be permanently deleted.
Please be sure your vaccination card shows the following:
- Your name
- Date of birth
- The manufacturer of the vaccine
- The date(s) on which the vaccines were received
*If you have received your vaccine outside of the United States your documentation must include the above information, in English, in order for us to accurately update your record.
Will I have to wear a face mask while participating in the program?
Masks will be required during all indoor events (with the exception of eating or drinking). Due to the intimate nature of the workshop activities, we will also encourage participants to avoid close, unmasked social activities, including social gatherings and dining with other unvaccinated people, in the days leading up to their arrival and throughout their stay in Minnesota.
Will I need to sign a waiver?
While participating in events held or sponsored by the Association of Print Scholars (“APS”), consistent with CDC guidelines, participants are encouraged to practice hand hygiene, “social distancing” and wear face coverings to reduce the risks of exposure to COVID-19. Because COVID-19 is extremely contagious and is spread mainly from person-to-person contact, APS has put in place preventative measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19. However, APS cannot guarantee that its participants, volunteers, partners, or others in attendance will not become infected with COVID-19. As a result, all participants will be provided with a liability waiver and release of claims from APS which should be completed by May 15, 2023.
What are the testing protocols prior to arrival and during my stay in Minneapolis?
All event attendees are required to present proof of a recent negative COVID-19 PCR test within 48 hours prior to arrival and will be asked to submit to a rapid COVID-19 test, provided by workshop organizers, by the first morning of the workshop (Monday) and the third day of the workshop (Wednesday). Camera phone photos of test results will be sufficient and specific directions will be provided ahead of your travel.
Please keep documentation of any COVID-19 tests readily available in the event of an exposure or other public health needs.
What if I exhibit symptoms prior to the start of the workshop?
Visitors cannot attend the workshop, nor continue in the workshop activities, if they are exhibiting symptoms, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or have otherwise been instructed to quarantine or isolate.
If you have a question not listed, please feel free to contact us via email at workshops@printscholars.org.
