National Juried Competition "Works on Paper" 2022 at the Long Beach Island Foundation of the Arts & Sciences welcomes entries of original work, created within the last two years, which explore the varied media which utilize Paper. The Competition and Exhibition is open to artists in continental USA only. Works on Paper can include, but are not limited to: drawing, painting on paper, hand-pulled prints, photographic prints, digitally created artwork displayed as prints, and paper constructions which may be wall hung.

Three cash Prizes and three Honorable Mentions will be awarded by the Juror at the opening reception. Artists do not have to be present to receive their awards. All artwork submitted for consideration must be for sale. The competition and exhibition is open to emerging as well as established artists working in the continental US.

The Juror for 2022 is Esther Adler, Curator of Drawings and Prints at MOMA, the Museum of Modern Art, NYC.

AWARDS: $500 first prize, $250 second prize, $100 third prize and three honorable mentions.

March 14: Accepted entries posted on LBIF website by this date; artists will also be notified by email. Information for the printed Catalog will be requested on March 14.


April 8: Work must be received by this date at LBIF
April 16 – May 30: Exhibition dates
Reception for Artists & Public / Prizes & Awards announced by the Juror.
May 31, 2022: Unsold Artwork returned to artists after close of show
