The Centre for Fine Print Research at UWE Bristol is seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with experience of robotics, mechatronics or control system engineering. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a team working on cutting-edge research on the EPSRC funded project Woodbury and Lippmann: A new approach to continuous tone and full colour non-impact printing. The role will include writing software controlling print heads, printing speed and substrate speed, designing speciality print platforms, designing and sourcing specialist printer parts, documenting the tests undertaken, collating data and analysing results. The successful candidate will support the project lead, Dr. Klein, in writing outputs and will be expected to give presentations at conferences and other public facing events in their own right. The project is supported by a full-time technician and travel in the UK and overseas is an integral part of the role.
