Collections Cataloguer

The Princeton University Art Museum seeks applications for the position of full-time Collections Cataloguer for a 30-month term position to join a team dedicated to improving providing full digital access to the Museum’s drawing collections. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work within the context of an art museum that is intimate in scale yet expansive in scope, supporting one of the most dynamic exhibition programs on any college campus and a program of educational activities and events that continues to grow in energy and impact each year.

The Cataloguer will be responsible for the full cataloguing of the Princeton University Art Museum’s drawings collection. Information will be recorded in the Museum’s collections information management system, The Museum System® (TMS), utilizing best practices in the cataloging of works of art. As part of the Museum's Information and Technology department, and reporting to the Manager of Collections Information, the Cataloger will focus on transcribing a critical mass of analog information about the Museum's drawing collection from source documents such as curatorial files and accession records.
