2018 Arezzo-Florence Summer Course on Printmaking and Print Collecting

Following last year's resounding success, the Arezzo Study Center Art in Tuscany Residence and the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno di Firenze are proud to announce the second annual summer course on printmaking and print collecting in Italy. Internationally renowned specialists will guide you through the world of Renaissance and Baroque prints and drawings preserved in the most important collections in Florence, Rome, Arezzo and Venice. Among them Cristina Acidini, President of the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno di Firenze (formerly Soprintendente of the Polo Museale Fiorentino), specialist in the works of Michelangelo and the Zuccari; Lisa Pon (Raphael, Dürer and Marcantonio Raimondi); Carlo Sisi (Conservatr at the Fondazione Museo Casa Bruschi, Arezzi); Gert Jan van der Sman, distinguished expert in Venetian prints of the 15th and 16th centuries (Print and Printmaking in Venice); Giorgio Marini (Curator at the Gabinetto Disegni e Stampe delle Gallerie degli Uffizi and member of the editorial board of Print Quarterly); Rick Scorza, Accademia delle Arti del Disegno di Firenze (formerly Warburg Institute and Morgan Library & Museum), outstanding expert on Vincenzo Borghini and Giorgio Vasari; and the director of the Summer Course Program Alessandra Baroni Vannucci, specialist in the works of Stradanus and the print culture of the Medici.
