Research/Current Projects | My recently completed dissertation considered translations between printed images and printed textiles in France and Britain during the first half of the nineteenth century. How, the project asked, did imagery and techniques associated with various types of printmaking (especially newer media such as lithography and photography) filter into textile design and production? Conversely, how were these designs then re-adapted graphically for printed media aimed at both textile producers and the public? |
